The terrain is mostly low lying plateau to slightly undulating desert plain, rising westward to a maximum elevation of 300 metres in the southwest at Ash Shaqaya. The southwestern border with Iraq is incised by the Wadi al Batin. About 93% of Kuwait is stony desert, with less than 1% arable land. |
